Cravings and Aversions

We've reached the point in pregnancy where the aversions are real.
Everything sounds terrible to me, I get a nauseous feeling every meal or snack time.

There is one craving though, that I've been clinging onto since before I even knew I was pregnant. I remember telling my mom that I wanted a donut for my birthday. I didn't have one, but since then I've literally thought about having a donut almost every day. It's come up several times in conversation recently and then this week I saw two different coworkers eating donuts and rushed to the Staff Room sure that there would be a box for me to dig into. No dice. This morning, Champ offered to stop on our way to work: I declined. But once I got to my room, I knew I needed one. I pulled up Door Dash and ordered a dozen assorted from Psycho Donuts to be delivered to the office by Recess. I used the guise of "a TGIF treat" but definitely was a textbook stereotypical pregnancy "I need it now" craving.
I ate half at Recess and now that's in the rearview. Very unfulfilling since a coworker/friend stood by my side and continued to make comments about how she couldn't believe I was eating it. Oh well. In true Champ fashion, the next morning (when coming home from an over-nighter at a friends) he stopped and brought home some donuts for us to enjoy together. Mission accomplished. Much more fulfilling and delicious. I think that Donut craving is officially satisfied.
