Last weekend, the girls flew up from LA for a few days of "togetherness" and wine drinking (I'd say tasting, but let's all be realistic here). Since they threw the money down on a flight, I took the reigns on planning - something that I genuinely enjoy doing.
Dropping our agenda below along with my impressions/advice for each

9:00am
Grab Breakfast (highly recommend breakfast sandwich, their English Muffins are famous)
Model Bakery 644 1st Street
10:30am-11:30am
Sparkling Wine Tasting Flight $20/ea 866-783-5826
Mumm Napa 8445 Silverado Trail
This was a great way to kick off the day, a couple of us paired up and chose different flights so we could try everything.
11:45am
Taste Wine $15/ea (then sneak across the street to Dean & Deluca for lunch/snacks)
V Sattui 1111 White Lane/ Dean & Deluca
V Sattui is like the Disneyland of Napa: lots of people, lines to get help, and a pretty consistent product. Our pourer (I believe more out of laziness than anything) suggested that we buy a couple bottles and drink them outside rather than him pouring us each a flight)
Dean & Deluca is one of my favorite places in Napa. While it's "just a market" they have amazing artisinal EVERYTHING and samples everywhere you look. PLUS highly recommend the Brown Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookie. It's my all-time favorite.
12:45pm - 1:45pm
Taste more Wine (free tasting)
Heitz Cellars
We'd also bought salumi, cheese, bread, etc. at Dean & Deluca but were informed me couldn't "picnic" there. We enjoyed our free tasting and then ate outta the back of our rental van like the classy broads me are.
2:00pm – 3:00pm
Olive Oil Mill Tasting $45/ea (Reservation required)
Round Pond Estate 875 Rutherford Rd
This was my second time, and it was equally as magical. Without giving too much away, there's no bread involved in this Olive Oil tasting. If you do the $45 tasting you will learn about Olive Oil, processing, standards, try it alone and then have a multi-course tasting of small bites each featuring one of their oil/vinegar products.
3:30pm
Taste more Wine
Silver Oak
OMG! So many fruit flies. I get it, that's the nature of the beast. But COME ON. The wine was delicious, it was decorated beautifully for the holidays and even though it was busy it didn't feel congested.
5:00pm
Distillery Tour & Tasting *groupon (Reservation Required)
Napa Valley Distillery 2485 Stockton St.
7:00pm

We had a blast here, mostly because we tried to make our pourer as uncomfortable as possible.

Donuts for the table to start, yaaas!
