East Coast MiniMoon: Upstate NY

It all began with a missed flight.
Without going into too much detail, I'll mention it just so any of you who cut it as close as the Champs do know that the FAA regulation states that bags must be checked in 30 minutes prior to flying (and 60 for international). Most people probably don't cut it close enough to know that this is a federal regulation so, you're welcome for figuring it out for you - they really do mean it.
We started the mini-moon excursion in New York with plans to see Tina's new crib, drive to upstate to see the Tinchs and surprise Grandma Wags and introduce him to her new grandson (aka Champ - the Wags don't do "in-laws")
Washington Heights, NY
After a later arrival than planned and bags that didn't get on the same plane as us, we headed out to start our vacation with some Thai delivery and adult coloring books (for Vic). On Thursday we rented a rig and took off on an adventure to Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow. Points of interest included the Philipsburg Manor, Sleepyhollow Cemetary and a short trespassing of the Rockafeller Estate.
Rochester, NY
The epic road trip began bright and early with some delicious bagels for fuel. The 6 hours it took to get there was picturesque, green and full of impressive barns and farmhouses. On the way home we made a pitstop in Gardiner, NY (yeah, we'd never heard of it either) for the Tuthilltown Distillary 10th Anniversary Weekend. They're the brains and grains behind the Hudson Whiskey brand that if you've tried, you've loved. Our friends drove over from Conneticutt to meet us, which was icing on the cake.

And for your viewing pleasure, my first ever GoPro video - a highlight reel of the fun had in NY (in hindsight it's really just a lot of driving). Plenty more footage and pictures to come.
